StatSheet's Big West Player of the Week for December 31st goes to Vander Joaquim from Hawaii. Isaac Fotu from Hawaii has earned StatSheet's Big West Freshman of the Week. Finally, Pacific's Trevin Harris has received StatSheet's Big West 6th Man of the Week.

Joaquim led the entire Big West in blocked shots (2.5 per game). He also tallied 20.5 points per game and 13 rebounds per game. The Hawaii senior played well for the Warriors in a victory versus Cal State Northridge and a loss to Ole Miss.

Joaquim led the Warriors in scoring and rebounding with 29 points and 15 rebounds in an 81-66 loss to Ole Miss. That was followed by 12 points and 11 rebounds in a narrow 74-71 win over Cal State Northridge.

This is the first time this season that Vander Joaquim has been selected StatSheet Big West Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is Kwame Vaughn, a senior from Cal State Fullerton. Honorable mention goes to Sammy Yeager, a senior from Cal State Fullerton. The highest ranking player from UC Irvine was Adam Folker who finished 14th.

StatSheet Big West Freshman of the Week: Hawaii's Isaac Fotu

In the loss to Ole Miss, Fotu rang up 11 points on 100% shooting. Then in the win against Cal State Northridge, he put up 16 points and 11 rebounds.

This is a first for Isaac Fotu, who has never won the StatSheet Big West Freshman of the Week. The runner-up is Jared Brandon from Cal State Fullerton. Honorable mention goes to Taran Brown from UC-Santa Barbara. The highest ranking freshman from UC Irvine was Alex Young who finished 5th.

StatSheet Big West 6th Man of the Week: Pacific's Trevin Harris

Junior Trevin Harris, a 6-5 reserve forward, played 21 minutes during a lone game for the Tigers. In a 67-63 loss to Long Beach State, Harris led the scoring for the Tigers with 13 points on 66% shooting.

This is Trevin Harris's first StatSheet Big West 6th Man of the Week award this season. Tony Gill, a junior forward from Pacific, is runner up. Our own Chris McNealy receives honorable mention. UC Irvine has yet to win StatSheet Big West Player of the Week.
