UC-Santa Barbara's Alan Williams has won the StatSheet Big West Player of the Week award for the week ending January 14th. Jared Brandon from Cal State Fullerton has won StatSheet's Big West Freshman of the Week. And last but certainly not least, Tony Gill from Pacific is the StatSheet Big West 6th Man of the Week.

Williams was the best in the Big West in scoring (25.0 pts per game), rebounding (11.5 per game), and blocked shots (3.5 per game). He also put up a good showing in shooting (60%). The UC-Santa Barbara sophomore played well in a win against UC Davis and a loss to Pacific.

Williams led scoring and rebounding for the Gauchos with 22 points and 12 rebounds in an 80-62 loss to Pacific. He then led all scoring and rebounding with a 28 point and 11 rebound performance in a 66-59 victory against UC Davis.

Alan Williams has been named StatSheet Big West Player of the Week one other time this season. He has also received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is senior D.J. Seeley from Cal State Fullerton. Honorable mention goes to senior Lorenzo McCloud from Pacific. Will Davis II was the highest ranking player from UC Irvine, finishing 11th.

StatSheet Big West Freshman of the Week: Cal State Fullerton's Jared Brandon

Jared Brandon averaged 31 minutes while starting both games for Cal State Fullerton. In a 74-62 win over Cal State Bakersfield, Brandon registered 15 points on 70% shooting. Following that in a thin 71-69 win against UC Riverside, he dialed up 6 points and 4 rebounds.

This is a repeat honor for Jared Brandon, making it the second time he has won StatSheet Big West Freshman of the Week. Deng Deng from Long Beach State grabs runner-up. Josh Fox from UC Riverside receives honorable mention.

StatSheet Big West 6th Man of the Week: Pacific's Tony Gill

Junior Tony Gill, a 6-8 reserve forward, averaged 21 minutes over two games for the Tigers. In an 80-62 win against UC-Santa Barbara, Gill took the lead in scoring for the Tigers with 17 points on 100% shooting. Then in a strong 77-55 win over Cal Poly, he racked up 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

This is the first StatSheet Big West 6th Man of the Week award for Tony Gill. Trevin Harris, a junior forward from Pacific, is the runner up. Ross Rivera, a junior forward from Pacific, earns honorable mention. UC Irvine has yet to win the StatSheet Big West Player of the Week award this season.
